BOAF inducts Ms. Sarah Singh to Africa’s 10,000 Points of Light
“It is my distinct honor and privilege on behalf of the Banking on Africa’s Future (BOAF), to welcome Ms. Sarah Singh (BOAF01001) to the prestigious 10,000 Points of Light (POL) community being persons who without anyone noticing are driven by passion and a sense of excellence to play their small part impactful part in problem solving,” said Mr. Mutumwa Mawere a of the 1873 FM radio www.the1873fm.com and the 1873 Network www.the1873network.org.
Ms. Singh describes herself on her LinkedIn wall as follows: “I am a young South African mom, Entrepreneur, Blogger, Philanthropist and aspiring women empowerment leader. With a firm belief that we are the ones that change and shape the future for ourselves and in turn the country and eventually globally.”
Like many, she is inspired by the words of the late civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King in the “I have a Dream” seminal speech as well as by the words of the late Mahatma Ghandi who said: “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
She also said: “Inspired, ignited and provoked by the above two larger than life personalities I have chosen in whatever I choose to do to lead, grow and influence the world around me through the instrumentality of my God-given creativity and freewill.”
On 15, September 2015, this is what Ms. Anu Aggarwal had to say about Ms. Singh:
Ms. Tarryn Doyle, a former colleague of Ms. Singh said that she is a thoroughly motivated individual who maintains a professional persona in whatever she chooses to do.
After her matriculation, she began her professional career as an Advertising Sales Manager at Lenasia Sun in January 2012. This was followed by a stint with Vibe Groups as a Personal Assistance and Consultant in May 2013.
In August 2014, she joined Bstyle Media as a Media Specialist and Project Manager whose responsibilities were as set out below.
In March 2015, she joined Austen Morris Associates as an Executive Personal Assistance to the Key Individual in charge of administrative matters and she was subsequently promoted to the position of Business Development Coordinator in October 2015 with the same company.
In October 2016, she joined Newtown Ladscape Architects as a Personal Assistant to the Managing Director of the Company. In 2014, she was a co-founder and Managing Director of SarahSash Holdings, a company that specialized in digital marketing and public relations activities.
Ms. Singh said: “I am excited to be part of this diverse bank of people. I am a naturally optimistic and aspirational person and any opportunity to be visible is a bridge to something.
I have taken heed of the challenge put to me that I must fill the 10000 peoples’ bank with my own deposits of names.
I am particularly pleased that the bank is open for business and it is up to me to nominate people who I think need a sponsor in their lives in order to improve their market power and relevance.
I note that I am the first Sarah with a Singh surname in the bank. This leaves the door open to make this bank representatives of all the people who are hitherto connected but not in the context of a community.
I am happy to be part of the 10000 POL community. This is an idea whose time is now and I cannot wait to host my own show on www.the1873fm.com radio station.
I believe that my voice is my power to provoke, ignite and inspire people to be active citizens.”
