BOAF Inducts Sanele Simmons to Africa’s 10,000 Points of Light

“On behalf of the Banking on Africa’s Future (BOAF), it is my pleasure and honour to welcome Mrs Sanele Simmons to the prestigious 10,000 Points of Light (POL) club, as number (BOAF0021) towards our target of 10,000 names in the BOAF, for his role inthe beauty and modelling industries,” said Stanley Karombo, a member of the BOAF initiative powered by The 1873 FM www.the1873fm.com and The 1873 Network, www.the1873network.org.

Simmons, now a well-renowned name in the beauty and modelling industries has launched the Sanele Simmons Shine Academy, a finishing and modelling school opening its doors to Johannesburg youth two years ago.

The Academy, situated in Bryanston, Johannesburg is tailored for young women and men; particularly teenagers between the ages of 13-18, boys and girls who wish to empower themselves with skills and knowledge they wouldn’t necessarily receive from the current educational curriculum.

“Typically, in the formal school system, individuals do not have an opportunity to develop self-confidence and other necessary social skills. We often undermine the importance of these progressive areas in our children’s lives. The benefits of attending the Academy are huge within interpersonal relationships, the work environment, and life in general”, Simmons told Mr. Donovan Wyngaard on Monday Mr. Wyngaard is leading an initiative promoted by the www.the1873fm.com and The 1873 Network, www.the1873network.org to improve the quality of journalism in Africa.

“Parents are encouraged to invest in the future of their children by enrolling their teens in this programme, as space is now limited due to uptake.

“This is the perfect supplement towards the personal development of the youth in South Africa,” said Stanley Karombo, a member of The 1873 FM www.the1873fm.com and The 1873 Network, www.the1873network.org
