Michael Matope is the founder of Farmvest, a multi faceted agricultural investment platform that enables people to invest in various areas in the Agric Value Chain from seed to fork, which was inspired by the challenge of a growing population on the African continent and the threat to food security.

He attended St. Francis Xavier, Kutama College a Marist Brothers school in Zimbabwe, where he did his secondary education in the year 2002 and left for the United Kingdom, where he attained a qualification in Media and Communications with Birmingham City University.

Michael kick started his career with Probuilder as customer liason officer, where he acquired experience in engaging with potential customers, converting leads into sales and expanding the company’s customer base.

In the year 2009, Michael co-founded a student newspaper, The Student Telegraph, whose aim was to give university students a platform for their voices to be heard on issues that matter, from economics, politics, business and environmental issues in an ever changing, dynamic and fast paced world.
